We leven nog!

Hallo geduldige lezers,
nee we zijn niet van de aardbodem verdwenen. We zijn alleen héél druk geweest met verscheidene activiteiten om GELD te verdienen !
Om jullie geheugen even op te frissen (en het mijne) zal ik even opsommen wat de planning inhield:

- De Caland Cantate
13 December was de Caland Cantate avond op onze school. Na weken van druk verkopen in elke pauze en elk tussenuurtje dat we hadden, was het zover. We hebben veel meer kaartjes verkocht dan we verwachtten, mede dankzij de verkoop-skills van Bilal en Soufyan! Op de Cantate hebben wij de catering verzorgt. Ik en de andere meisjes hadden al helemaal in onze hoofd in wat voor prachtige jurkjes we zouden verschijnen, maar natuurlijk ging het feest niet door. We kregen schorten en allemaal hetzelfde soort t-shirts. Achteraf gezien ook beter, want niemand keek toch naar ons. De mensen op het podium trokken alle aandacht. Al met al werd het een leuke avond en we hebben veel complimenten (en nog beter: GELD) gekregen.

- Kerstversieringen
Met kerst in de aantocht hebben we de school versiert met kerstbomen, kerstkransen en al die dingen om onze school wat sfeervoller te maken. Hiervoor kregen we per uur en persoon betaald.

- Open dagen
Nog een manier om geld te verdienen: de school opruimen voor de open dagen. Hoe graag we dit willen lijkt me al duidelijk, op je vrije zondag naar school gaan! We hebben van 12 tot 4 de hele school schoongemaakt voor de open dagen. Op maandag was de eerste open dag, toen hebben we catering verzorgt voor de leraren.
Het ging, zacht gezegt, niet zo soepeltjes. Zeg maar gerust chaotisch. Maar dat heb je wel vaker, op een eerste dag. De tweede open dag ging al een stuk beter! De sfeer was veel relaxter en de leraren waren zeer tevreden. Ook hebben we eten verkocht aan de ouders en stonden we met een kraampje met flyers en een potje waar men geld in kon doen.
We hebben nog 1 open dag te gaan en we verwachten dat die net zo goed verloopt.

- Valentijnsdag!
Hier kan ik nog niet zoveel over kwijt, want het is natuurlijk nog niet geweest, maar zeker in voorbereiding!
We gaan Valentijnsspullen verkopen op school ( denk aan: rozen, lolly's, ballonen) zodat onze medeleerlingen op een stijlvolle manier hun affectie kunnen uitdrukken aan de persoon in kwestie. De opbrengst gaat natuurlijk naar ons Exposure Project, dus sla 2 vliegen in 1 klap en KOPENKOPENKOPEN.

Hello patient readers,
No, we haven't vanished from the earth. We were just sooooo busy with a lot of activities to earn the MONEY we need so desperately!
To fresh up your memories (and mine) i'll mention all moneymaking events that were on our schedule:

- The Caland Cantate
On December 13 the Caland Cantate was held at our school. After several weeks of selling tickets in every break we had, even in our spare time we sold alot of tickets. But it was worth our efforts, because we sold more than we could have dreamt of. The selling skills of Bilal and Soufyan played a great role in that.
On the night itself, we took care of the catering. The other girls of the group and myself, we had already planned on what to wear. Our heads were filled with gorgeos dresses and cute little heels, but ofcourse our party was ruined. We had to wear aprons and the same t-shirts.
In the end, it wasn't really a problem, since nobody noticed us. The people on the stage drawed all the attention to them. Everything included, it was a great evening and we received many compliments (and money!).

-Christmasdecorations
With Santa on the doorstep, we were told to decorate the school with christmastrees, santaclauses, and other stuff to cheer up our school. With this, we were payed per person and hour.
- Open days

Another way to earn money: cleaning up your school to make it look good for the new pupils. I think it's obvious how much we want this, I mean, we went to school on sunday! We cleaned up the place for 4 hours
On monday after that, de first take-a-look-in-your-new-school was held. Our group took care of the food for the teachers. They could choose between bami, nasi and pizza and some other dishes.
The first day went not so well, everything was a little mess. But that's normal for a first day I guess. The second day rocked! The atmosphere was more relaxed and the teachers were happy. Also we sold food to the parents of the upcoming pupils. We had a table all to ourselves (yeah) and we talked to the parents and their children about our project and we also hand out flyers.
There is another open day where we are going to help and we expect it to be as good as a succes as this one.

- Valentinesday!
There isn't much to say about that, since it hasn't happened yet. But it sure is in preparation!
We're going to sell sweet Valentine stuff at our school, like red roses, balloons, bears and other.
Just that our fellow students can show their affection in a refined way to the person they adore most. The profit goes, ofcourse, to our Exposure Project, so BUYBUYBUY to make Valentines Day a day to never forget, for you and your beloved one, and you would make us very happy!
